Track 1
Track 2

Openness and Precompetitive projects

IBIS OIS is an Open Innovation in Science platform that believes in openness and precompetitive research that addresses generic, industry-wide challenges and helps accelerate downstream innovation across the industry. Successfull projects are designed:

  • So that all results, publications, and data can be shared openly and as early as possible,
  • Without seeking protection of intellectual property rights by means of patents or similar.

This means that all parties can use the results developed in IBIS OIS projects for further development and in their own commercial applications.

The main applicant must be a tenure-track or tenured researcher employed at an IBIS OIS partner university. The partner universities are: Technical University of Denmark (DTU), University of Copenhagen (UCPH), Aarhus University (AU), University of Southern Denmark (SDU), and Aalborg University (AAU).

Each project must consist of at least one IBIS OIS partner university and at least one company partner, but we invite you to include additional partners for your project.

Eligible partners for funding for IBIS OIS projects are:

  • Researchers from universities or knowledge institutions, and
  • Registered non-profit organisations

In accordance with the Novo Nordisk Foundation, no funding can be allocated to companies or for-profit organizations. However, companies can join a project by contributing with resources or with in-kind support. All projects must have atleast one company partner.
